Our journey starts in Tegucigalpa departing at 8:30 a.m. on a paved to road to Yeguare Valley where the Pan-American Agricultural School El Zamorano is located, one of the most famous and prestigious agricultural universities in the Americas. The trip lasts a little less than an hour.

The Yeguare Valley is one of the most beautiful in Honduras, about 19 miles to the east of Tegucigalpa. Here you’ll enjoy the fabulous experience of being a farmer for a day to learn how country life is like. The tour includes a walk through the plantations, the processing plants, and the area where cattle, pigs, and other livestock are raised and if you wish you may practice horseback riding.

After the tour around the campus you’ll have a delicious lunch in the countryside or with the students in the cafeteria. It is important to know that you’ll have the privilege of farming the land and learn how to take care of the animals practicing the institutions philosophy of ‘learn by doing’.

You’ll be able to practice other activities such as:

• Playing in the soccer fields
• Playing in the tennis courts
• Playing in the basketball courts
• Enjoy a barbecue with family or friends
• Fishing in the lagoon
• Take a hike on one of the paths
• Practice horseback riding
• Take a bicycle ride on one of the circuits
• Learn how the agro industrial plants work

If you want to spend the night here you can do so, since the institution has a comfortable hotel and by doing so you’ll have the opportunity of visiting with the students.

At the end of our experience we’ll go back to Tegucigalpa, leaving at 3 p.m. and arriving in town a few minutes before 4 p.m.
